2 Gasoline in details - Featherweight and effectiveness
This high prototype
on leg does not pass unperceived. Its hull is
from the same mould as the higher hull of Autonomy
1 and has a flat bottom. This allows him a fall
of 30% of frontal surface compared to Autonomie
1, and thus a fall of the aerodynamic resistance
of the same order of value.
Mechanics includes/understands, one-cylinder
engine STIHL
gasoline 4 strokes 31 Cm3. Worked again and
developed with the bench, it is now equipped
with an electronic
injection.
This vehicle designed in 2002 for the race at
the BASIC price (1) uses in fact of conventional
materials. Autonomy 2 thus has a frame out of
tubular steel lattice, modified in 2004 it is
now more compact thus lighter and rigid.
The vacuum glass fibre hull laminated is a model
of the kind only 4 kg (15 kg for that of Autonomy
1) thanks to the use of a very effective manufactoring
process which required a very significant development.
Weight ratio/rigidity, This one is very interesting
for a vehicle concourrant for the price BASIC,
a true exploit, only 45 kg for this prototype
having a steel frame.
It has a nose gear and of an aluminium direction.
The 3 wheels lay out of rims mixed aluminium/complex
triangulated out of glass fibre. |
